Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a mom of 5 kids and I am passionate about documenting their lives.

My oldest two sons were officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January of 2004--when they were 4 and 2, respectively--and it began to make sense why I could never get the studio settings of big chain photographers to work for them. We went for a long time without many really GOOD pictures of the boys, and as our family grew, I became more and more restless about this. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn photography! Once I had the skills to photograph my own sons in a way that they found comfortable, without harsh flashes or lots handling and posing, I wanted to share it with other families who faced the same challenges creating keepsakes of their family's life.

Along the way, I've discovered I just love photographing everyone! So what started as a very focused journey in chronicling my own family's story has become a passion and an artistic outlet.

A boatload of new pictures coming soon.

With all of the shooting and the holidays, I have gotten behind in posting, but there are so many families and a wedding to post. Hang in there. I hope to do it today or tomorrow. But fear not, since this season of insane shooting is over, I ought to have a little more time to devote to showing off all of the adorable families and the awesome wedding we shot. (Just a spoiler for that, it was done with falling snow!! Fun! And on Facebook...so come be our fan!)
