Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a mom of 5 kids and I am passionate about documenting their lives.

My oldest two sons were officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January of 2004--when they were 4 and 2, respectively--and it began to make sense why I could never get the studio settings of big chain photographers to work for them. We went for a long time without many really GOOD pictures of the boys, and as our family grew, I became more and more restless about this. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn photography! Once I had the skills to photograph my own sons in a way that they found comfortable, without harsh flashes or lots handling and posing, I wanted to share it with other families who faced the same challenges creating keepsakes of their family's life.

Along the way, I've discovered I just love photographing everyone! So what started as a very focused journey in chronicling my own family's story has become a passion and an artistic outlet.

Some full-sun (and shifting cloud) wedding pics

A few weeks ago we had two weddings in Manti. The first was Kate and Justin. They were so funny. You can totally see their personality in the pictures. I think I probably spent more time laughing my head off than taking pictures.

Then Steven and Clover got married. We only had a few minutes to get some pictures before they had to go in and get married, and then we had to be off, but they were their usual fabulous selves.
