Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a mom of 5 kids and I am passionate about documenting their lives.

My oldest two sons were officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January of 2004--when they were 4 and 2, respectively--and it began to make sense why I could never get the studio settings of big chain photographers to work for them. We went for a long time without many really GOOD pictures of the boys, and as our family grew, I became more and more restless about this. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn photography! Once I had the skills to photograph my own sons in a way that they found comfortable, without harsh flashes or lots handling and posing, I wanted to share it with other families who faced the same challenges creating keepsakes of their family's life.

Along the way, I've discovered I just love photographing everyone! So what started as a very focused journey in chronicling my own family's story has become a passion and an artistic outlet.

Big News!

Wow, this is big guys!

Like I said a couple posts ago, Crystal Pickering and I got together to shoot some brides, weddings, etc. and we had a BLAST. We really hit it off awesomely and our shooting styles are similar and complimentary, but we also both really supplement each other as well. Where I am weak, Crystal rocks the place. And I'd like to think that I add a little to the pot too.

So, we did the sensible thing and decided to combine and really see if we can wow the area with our photography. We have a new website http://www.rcphotographyutah.com/ and we are so excited.

So what is the future of Rachel Rehart Photography? I still plan to continue with my goal of getting family pictures for families affected by autism. I just feel like this is such a important thing and I want to stay with this goal. And actually, RC Photography is technically a "venture" of Rachel Rehart Photography.
