Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a mom of 5 kids and I am passionate about documenting their lives.

My oldest two sons were officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January of 2004--when they were 4 and 2, respectively--and it began to make sense why I could never get the studio settings of big chain photographers to work for them. We went for a long time without many really GOOD pictures of the boys, and as our family grew, I became more and more restless about this. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn photography! Once I had the skills to photograph my own sons in a way that they found comfortable, without harsh flashes or lots handling and posing, I wanted to share it with other families who faced the same challenges creating keepsakes of their family's life.

Along the way, I've discovered I just love photographing everyone! So what started as a very focused journey in chronicling my own family's story has become a passion and an artistic outlet.

Kinda Twilight-y

I think this all kind of reminds me of Twilight. Even the meadow. But, really, that was not the intent as we shot the photos. But these guys were amazingly fun. I would totally shoot this "dazzling" couple again. (Heh, I could also have used another of Stephenie Meyer's favorite adjectives...smoldering. ;) )

It is sort of an engagement/family session. They've been married for awhile and are getting sealed, so we get to do engagement, bridal and wedding/reception photos, AND family photos. LUCKY us!

Wow! Especially the one in the middle of the road. What was the inspiration for that? Great job!
