Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a mom of 5 kids and I am passionate about documenting their lives.

My oldest two sons were officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January of 2004--when they were 4 and 2, respectively--and it began to make sense why I could never get the studio settings of big chain photographers to work for them. We went for a long time without many really GOOD pictures of the boys, and as our family grew, I became more and more restless about this. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn photography! Once I had the skills to photograph my own sons in a way that they found comfortable, without harsh flashes or lots handling and posing, I wanted to share it with other families who faced the same challenges creating keepsakes of their family's life.

Along the way, I've discovered I just love photographing everyone! So what started as a very focused journey in chronicling my own family's story has become a passion and an artistic outlet.

Angie and Fabio...erm, Scott

So when Angie introduced us to "Fabio", her financee, we knew we were in for fun. The jokes, the guffaws, and the fun was pretty much happening start to finish.

They were also extremely brave. I mean, they braved mosquitos (and by pluralizing that, I mean many HUNDREDS, or even thousands) and even laid in the road for us. Luckily it was way way up the canyon, so no bride or grooms-to-be were harmed in the making of these pictures. :D
