Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a mom of 5 kids and I am passionate about documenting their lives.

My oldest two sons were officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in January of 2004--when they were 4 and 2, respectively--and it began to make sense why I could never get the studio settings of big chain photographers to work for them. We went for a long time without many really GOOD pictures of the boys, and as our family grew, I became more and more restless about this. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn photography! Once I had the skills to photograph my own sons in a way that they found comfortable, without harsh flashes or lots handling and posing, I wanted to share it with other families who faced the same challenges creating keepsakes of their family's life.

Along the way, I've discovered I just love photographing everyone! So what started as a very focused journey in chronicling my own family's story has become a passion and an artistic outlet.

Little J

Little J was just the sweetest little guy. His mom found out the next day that he had an ear infection, but he was pretty mellow.


A couple of times he cried a little, but even his tears were adorable.



Mostly he was just the happiest, more curious little guy ever.

Hi Rachel, love this little face and you are right even his tears are cute. Just not fair when you get older the tears aren't so cute. Thank you again for the name of the font, I love it so much and yours really looks nice on your blog.
